About Simone

Simone uniquely combines athletic and dance training, music studies, a natural gift for musical movement and worldwide travels to create a studio, “Where Artistry and Intelligence Meet Fun.” Known for her high energy and creativity she has been teaching for numerous years in freeing the body with joy and focus. Simone has performed at Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, Radio City Music Hall and in Europe and Asia and is an award-winning dancer and NY State Gymnastic Champion. Simone has NY and NJ State teaching Certifications in Music and Dance as well as certificates in teaching Yoga, Breathwork, Pilates, Modern dance and Creative Aging.

She teaches dance and mentors student-teachers for State Certification at Montclair State University for the past 16 years and has been invited to coach classrooms teachers in bringing the arts into their classrooms by NYC Department of Education. Workshops she has led include being featured with Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health, Lincoln Center Institute, New Jersey State Council on the Arts, Dance Flurry (Saratoga), and with numerous artist-educator institutions. Her instruction has brought her to Russia, France, Italy, Switzerland, Argentina, Norway, India, and in Japan, teaching alongside the legendary Frankie Manning.

She founded, led and inspired a vibrant swing dance scene through her classes, workshops and bi-monthly dances, The Jersey Bounce, creating a spirited and lively venue for numerous people to connect through dance. Simone is a freelance harpist in the metropolitan area performing for parties, weddings and business events.
