Simone is one of the pioneers of the resurgence of swing dance in Manhattan in the 90’s and has won numerous competitions. Her mentor has been Frankie Manning, Legendary Lindy Hop Master. Performance groups she has been a member of include The Big Apple Lindy Hoppers, known for her aerials, Hop, Swing & a Jump, Swing Time and her own Swinging with Simone® performance groups. She inspired and led a vibrant swing dance scene through her classes, workshops and bi-monthly dances, The Jersey Bounce, creating a venue for numerous people to learn to free their bodies and to connect through dance.

As an educator, dancer, and musician Simone have always felt the world of education is one of the highest callings in life and it must be approached with rich integrity. She has spent many years exploring this call and cultivating skills as an educator and a motivator. By bringing together her passions for education and the arts, and pulling from a lifetime of experience, she creates a totally unique curriculum and insight to share with her students and audiences with the words energy, enthusiasm, and integrity.

Simone believes everyone is a dancer. The motto of her business is “Where Artistry Meets Fun!”. Learning something should be interesting and fun, with strong content. Simone teaches dancers ages 3-93 in their environments (nursery schools, K-12, university, Adult Programs and Senior Facilities) creative, social and cultural dances. She works with students at all stages of life has made me keenly aware of the human experience across a whole lifetime, and this understanding richly informs her teaching and interactions in life.
